What you get with Grantive Finance

Sound
familiar?

The advice is the easy part. It's everything after the meeting — the research, the drafting, the compliance checks — that piles up faster than any adviser can clear it.

The backlog never clears

Every client meeting can create hours of technical work. The queue builds faster than you can write, and turnaround promises start to slip.

Hiring doesn't quite add up

A good paraplanner costs £40,000+ before overheads. Hard to justify until the caseload is there, painful to manage until it is.

The reports eat the best hours

Research, cashflow modelling, drafting, compliance checks. It's skilled work that matters — it just doesn't have to be you doing it.

Your time belongs
in front of clients,
full stop.

Outsourced paraplanning isn't a compromise — for most small and mid-sized practices it's the better model. You get an experienced, qualified paraplanner exactly when the caseload demands one, at a fixed fee per report, with none of the salary, software seats or management time of a hire.

And because the fee is agreed before the work starts, the economics are simple: if a report costs less than the client-facing time it frees up, it pays for itself. It usually does.

Written by someone
who's done the job.

I'm Josh, a Level 4 Diploma-qualified paraplanner (CII) with eight years in financial services — most of them at Brown Shipley, the private bank, writing suitability reports for high-net-worth clients across pensions, multi-wrapper investments and inheritance tax planning.

Since then I've worked in a high-volume pension transfer specialist and inside a St. James's Place Senior Partner Practice, so I'm as comfortable in the SJP framework and iBusiness as I am in Intelliflo and Voyant.

Grantive Finance is that experience, available to your firm one case at a time.

The small print, up front: Grantive Limited is not authorised or regulated by the FCA and doesn't give financial advice. I'm the technical engine behind your advice — your firm reviews, approves and owns every recommendation. Professional indemnity insured, ICO registered, full data-processing agreement as standard. Due-diligence pack available on request.

Three questions
everyone asks.

Are you FCA regulated?

No — and that's the correct arrangement for outsourced paraplanning. I don't give advice, so I don't need to be. Your firm reviews, approves and owns every recommendation; I'm the technical resource behind it, working under a written agreement that says exactly that. It's the same model used by outsourced paraplanners across the UK, and your compliance team can see it in black and white in my due-diligence pack.

How does client data stay secure?

Wherever possible, it doesn't leave your building — I can work inside your own back-office through guest access, so client files stay in your systems. Where documents do need to move, it's through encrypted, access-controlled storage with multi-factor authentication, never as email attachments. I'm ICO registered, and every engagement includes a full UK GDPR data-processing agreement as standard.

Do you handle DB transfers?

No, deliberately. Defined benefit and safeguarded-benefit transfer work sits outside my scope, full stop. It keeps my professional indemnity clean, your risk lower, and my focus on the work I do best: pensions, at-retirement, investments and estate planning.

No pitch meeting needed. A 15-minute call to cover your systems and house style, then send a live case — fixed fee, agreed turnaround. If the report isn't right, you don't pay.
